Intoxication Rules

Beverages

  • Ale DC10-12 per pint
  • Strong Ale DC10-12 per half pint
  • Wine DC12-15 per glass (6 glasses per bottle)
  • Spirits DC15-20 per shot
  • Dwarven Spirits DC21+ per shot

Stages of intoxication

  • Stage I
    • +2 Dex (except balance), +2 Con (Except against intoxication), +2 Str
    • 1 hour to recover from this point
    • -2 to saves to progress to next stage
  • Stage II
    • Fort drink DC vs 1d8 subdual damage
    • +2 Dex (except balance), +2 Con (Except against intoxication), +2 Str, -2 Wis, -2 Int
    • 2 hours to recover
    • -2 to saves to progress to next stage
    • Fort drink DC to stop drinking (+2DC if beverage is free)
  • Stage III
    • Lose all benefits of previous stages
    • -2 Dex, -2 Con, -2 Str, -4 Wis, -4 Int, -2 Cha
    • Fort drink DC+4 to not black out
    • 8 Hours to recover
  • Hangovers
    • Save vs drink DC (+2 for each type of drink) to avoid hangover after Stage II or III
    • Fatigued for 1d4 hour inebriated
      • Cannot run or charge
      • -2 Str, -2 Dex
      • Something causing fatigue will cause exhaustion
        • -6 Dex, -6 Str
      • Restoration or similar can cure hangovers
